# What was your first album purchase?

Vaselina Bilopphøggers ~ Fem Fyrer Med Ved and a bunch of classic Kiss tapes.

# What was your latest album purchase?

I just pre-ordered Darkthrone ~ The Cult Is Alive, Norwegian edition CD, and I also recently bought Dillinger Escape Plan’s latest album Miss Machine.

# Which single album has changed your perception of music?

Any classic Kiss album, Metallica ~ Masters of Puppets, Bathory ~ Under the Sign of the Black Mark and Morbid Angel ~ Altars of Madness. Ok, that wasn’t one single album, but hey, there have been a few revelations along the way… Hopefully there will be more.

# Which album would you pick up for your best friend?

Depending on which friend it is, I guess, but maybe something out of Devin Townsend’s catalogue, all ranging from the extreme sounds of SYL to more mellow stuff like Terria and Ocean Machine.

# And which album would you pick up your worst enemy?

SCUM ~ Gospels for the Sick.

# Which album would you use to seduce a person of the other sex?

Massive Attack can be very seductive, but once you’re on the go Testament ~ The Gathering has great energy and attitude, haha.

# Your preferred album to fall asleep to?

Usually I don’t play music while going to sleep, but something ambient/ atmospheric would work.

# Your preferred album to wake up to/banish hangovers with?

Mötley Crue ~ Dr Feelgood… It might delay the hangover, haha.

# Your preferred album to sing along to in the shower?

Michael Bolton – or something, haha.

# Please recommend an album from the 80s!

Oh, there’s so many… I’ll go with Equinox ~ Auf Wiedersehen, brilliant classic Norwegian thrash metal!

# Please recommend an album from the 90s!

Srapping Young Lad ~ City. Quite groundbreaking!

# Please recommend an album from after the turn of the millennium!

Nile ~ Black Seeds of Vengeance.

# What is the most embarrassing album in your collection?

Can’t think of anything specific, really… Probably some lame-ass metal album that never should have been released.

# And what is the most valuable item in your record collection?

Probably the original (pink) version of Mayhem ~ Deathcrush, hand numbered-and signed by all original members.

# Most represented band by raw numbers in your collection?

WASP, for sure… I have 50+ different WASP vinyls.

# Most disappointing album you ever bought?

WASP ~ Helldorado and Still Not Black Enough were both extremely disappointing.

# Name the one album you would have loved the most to have contributed on?

It probably sounds like a cliché, but Reign in Blood. This album is and will always be a milestone in extreme music.

# Name the album that you and your record collection lacks the most?

Original Celtic Frost ~ Emperor’s Return and Bathory ~ Twilight of the Gods picture discs… And my Testament ~ Demonic CD broke in half recently, damn!

# Name the song you would like to have played at your funeral?

Possibly Kiss’ “Under the Rose” from The Elder, or Terrorizer’s “Dead Shall Rise”. That one would be good for the afterparty anyway, haha
