# What was your first album purchase?

My first metal album purchase was Metallica ~ Master of Puppets. Before I began listening to metal I think it must have been Madonna ~ You Can Dance. I actually still have that LP. My first death metal album was Slowly We Rot, by the way.

# What was your latest album purchase?

Well, I recently received a package containing the following items:

Vormitor ~ Bleeding the Priest (LP)
Repugnant / Kaamos ~ s/t (split live MC)
Derketa ~ Goddess of Death (CD)
Morpheus Descends ~ Chronicles of the Shadowed Ones (CD)
Morpheus Descends ~ The Horror of the Truth (MCD)
Sadus ~ Live in Santiago 2004 (DVD)

# Which single album has changed your perception of music?

Death ~ Human. Especially from a drummer’s point of view.

# Which album would you pick up for your best friend?

If I should pick up some new record for a friend, it could be Adorior ~ Author of Incest. So fucked-up sickening, disgusting, perverse, satanic and brutal. Black metal as it should be.

# And which album would you pick up your worst enemy?

Dimmu Borgir ~ Stormblåst. Oh, so sweet wedding tunes. Like pouring gravy down your ear.

# Which album would you use to seduce a person of the other sex?

I’m not so slick that I think in those terms, hehe...

# Your preferred album to fall asleep to?

None in particular.

# Your preferred album to wake up to/banish hangovers with?

Angelcorpse ~ Exterminate

# Your preferred album to sing along to in the shower?

I guess Mötley Crue ~ Dr. Feelgood has a few good sing-along songs. Anyway, I don’t sing at all and it would be a crime against humanity if I did.

# Please recommend an album from the 80s!

Right now I’m listening to Whiplash ~ Power and Pain and earlier today Sodom ~ Persecution Mania. Both highly recommendable.

# Please recommend an album from the 90s!

Artillery ~ By Inheritance or maybe Ripping Corpse ~ Dreaming With the Dead.

# Please recommend an album from after the turn of the millennium!

Hypnosia ~ Extreme Hatred.

“Awaiting the day you die
A journey towards the end
It’s time you pay the price
Begging to sell your soul
Change cape with the wind
Pathetic excuse for living
Weak mind twisted brain
The time has come to
Hang ‘em fucking high”

# What is the most embarrassing album in your collection?

I sold my Stormblåst CD shortly after I bought it when it was released. Now I would have to go with Massacra ~ Sick. How on earth can you go from Signs of the Decline (in every way a good album) to Sick?

# And what is the most valuable item in your record collection?

No idea. If you are wondering which items that are most valuable in regard to money, then perhaps Mayhem ~ Deathcrush LP (DSP version) or my 1st press Burzum vinyls? None of those are the most valuable to me, though.

# Most represented band by raw numbers in your collection?

Slayer.

# Most disappointing album you ever bought?

Obituary ~ World Demise. I was a huge fan of Xecutioner and Obituary. Well, the three first Obituary albums that is. Especially Slowly We Rot. I remember I awaited news from Obituary with anticipation after The End Complete. Then one day Carsten Holm told the listeners of his radioshow ‘Heavyland’ that the coming album would be entitled World Demise. What a splendid fucking title I thought. Almost like The End Complete. But when it was finally released I was shocked to find out the direction of the music and especially the concept. An AIDS patient and a duck covered in oil?! What a pile of pretentious crap.

# Name the one album you would have loved the most to have contributed on?

I would not change a thing on any of my favourite albums. I could do the obvious and answer Reign in Blood but what should I change as a drummer? I’ll answer Kreator ~ Endless Pain then. Brilliant album with a (at that time) lousy drummer.

# Name the album that you and your record collection lacks the most?

Celtic Frost ~ To Mega Therion (1st press vinyl)

# Name the song you would like to have played at your funeral?

“Angel of Death” at full volume while I march towards the kingdom of the dead.

# Name three albums you would bring along to a deserted island?

Tough one. Perhaps:

Sadus ~ Illusions
Slayer ~ Reign in Blood
Gorguts ~ The Erosion of Sanity
All for very different reasons.
