26:02:07 -->> Evilution Magazine #3 in the works
It is now official; None other than the grandmaster of horror, King Diamond, will be the subject for the cover story of Evilution Magazine #3!

The feedback we have received for our two previous cover stories – featuring Darkthrone and Dissection respectively – has been overwhelmingly positive, and true to our own tradition we will present a feature of equal length and depth in Evilution Magazine #3. We proudly present none other than the legendary King Diamond for our upcoming cover story! Evilution Magazine have conducted a three-hour telephone interview with the grandmaster of horror, which has resulted in an exclusive and exhaustive glimpse into his world, thoughts and ideas. Needless to say, the readers of Evilution Magazine will know just what to expect...
The Evilution legion is hard at work with compiling material for Evilution Magazine #3. The issue will not – as previously stated – be released in January. It takes time to put together a thorough magazine, and since we refuse to compromise the content we have decided to use the extra amount of time it will demand to complete the product that we wish to publish. Evilution Magazine #3 will among other articles contain interviews with Abysmal Grief, Antaeus, Blood Axis, Earth, Funeral, Grand Belial’s Key, Haatstrijd and Necroplasma. More info on the release date will follow as soon as all intended interviews are confirmed.

New blood

Quite some time has passed since the latest update of the homepage. This is among other things due to replacements in our staff. Doom-metal reviewer Mikkel Putzek and layouter/webmaster Jess ‘Jester’ Larsen have resigned from Evilution Magazine. We wish both of them the best of luck in their future undertakings and thank them for their contributions to the magazine. We are proud to present Saturnus vocalist Thomas AG Jensen as our new doom-metal connoisseur as well as Saturnus drummer Nikolaj Borg, who will take over where Jester left regarding magazine design and website layout. Additionally, we have been joined by Church Bizarre vocalist Jens Pedersen, who will contribute to the magazine as a permanent staff member – watch out for an assortment of intriguing interviews from him in #3!

Website updates.

We have a small collection of material that has not yet been put up on our website due to the aforementioned staff-replacements. Needless to say, we will continue to update the website with interviews, reviews and new chapters in our The Listener’s Spectrum-series, as soon as Nikolaj has settled in as designer and webmaster. Also, expect a completely new design and interface on the website in the following months.

Luciferian Heritage Productions.

As written earlier, editor-in-chief Bo Christiansen has launched the new label/distro Luciferian Heritage Productions together with Jens Pedersen. The website is now online at www.luciferian.dk where you can find a complete distro overview as well as regular updates on label signings. The first two bands signed on Luciferian Heritage are Necroplasma and Funeral

This new label will focus on the darker side of the metal spectrum exclusively - both release and distribution wise. Right now we are talking to different bands and arranging all details. A website will also be up later this year. We are both looking forward to working together and it will only result in a more focused and dedicated label . As a new feature Evilution Magazine has introduced The Listeners Spectrum. The basic objective with this article series is to discover and learn more about the musical preferences and acquirements of select individuals from the extreme-music scene. For the reader it can be used as a means to stumble on new bands and artists, find out more about the esoteric record-collection of a certain musician, as downright time-killing amusement – or all of the above, for that matter. Please watch this space for future additions to the series, and do not hesitate to present the Evilution staff with suggestions as to whose record collection we should make the next target of our prying scalpels!
